Eröffnung Grand Casino Baden (CH): Der kreative Anspruch an die Gestaltung der Figuren und der Kostüme bestand darin, einen verspielten, phantasievollen Auftritt zu ermöglichen. Die Umsetzung sollte dabei keinen kindlichen, sondern einen erotischen Touch haben. Die drei Charaktere dienen einerseits als humoristische, vorwitzige Elemente der Show und stellen andererseits einen klaren Bezug zum Casino und dem damit verbundenen Leben her.

Die Kugel tritt passend zum feierlichen Gesamtanlass im goldenen, transparenten Kostüm auf. Diese Figur ist sexy und doch zurückhaltend. Die Rundung erzielte ich durch das Aufnähen von Tunnelzügen, durch die ich Glasfiberstäbe zog.

Die Karte stellt die klassische Jokerkarte dar. Dieser Charakter ist vorlaut, besserwisserisch, aber immer für einen Spaß zu haben. Er trägt die typische Narrenkappe mit Glöckchen, ein Hemd mit Trompetenärmel und Schnabelschuhe. Da die Figur viel tanzt und springt mußte die 'Karte' aus beweglichem PVC sein - so stabil und doch so biegsam wie möglich.

Der Würfel (Dice) kommt als fancy Persönlichkeit elegant und sehr distinguiert daher. Er ist sehr bedacht auf sein Äußeres, daher wählte ich für das Kostüm nur teure Materialien. Unterstützt wird seine Attitude durch den Dandy-Hut.
Opening of the Grand Casino Baden (CH): For this event the creative challenge was to make playful and fanciful costumes, to support the fantasy aspect of the show. I was to avoid making the costume childlike as the aim was to infuse them with sense of eroticism. The three characters needed to serve two purposes; on the one hand they should provide a cheeky and comical element to the show and on the other, a definite link to the casino and the lifestyle represented there.

“The Ball” was perfectly at home in a transparent costume in gold. The character was sexy and yet restrained. I achieved the costumes rounded form by sewing tunnels of fabric together and threading fibre glass sticks through it.
- “The Card” was a representation of the classic Joker card. This character was cheeky and a wise guy but always good for a laugh. He wore the typical fool’s hat with bells on it, a shirt with puffed sleeves, and pointed shoes. As the character had to dance and jump quite a lot the “card” was made to be as sturdy and flexible as possible.

“The Dice” was a very fancy and distinguished character. I chose only luxurious fabrics for the costume to illustrate his vanity and added a finishing touch with a dandy hat.
